Today, Cooper turned 9 weeks old! However this was not a day of celebration because it started with a day of shots.....and went downhill from there! Coop and I were having a great morning, eating, talking and doing our "ahgoos" and then we went to the Doctors where he was measured at 25 inches long and now weighs 14.5 lbs....My little guy isn't so little, he is my little linebacker. My night in shining armor!
Anyway, the nurse came in with a tray and 4 needles....Cooper didn't notice but mom sure did. She asked me to hold his hand and talk to him..I was doing that and all of the sudden his eyes opened really wide, he looked at me in shock and then screamed bloody murder...I didn't even see her do the shots but it took her less than 20 seconds to do all four. Coop screamed for about a minute and then continued to give my glares and yells for the next few hours. He got a little feverish and fussy last night - I'm not sure either of us slept at all...but thats ok, I will happily stay up all night long and console him. I just talked to Michelle, his childcare provider, he has been asleep for 4 1/2 hour and is starting to stir...so that's good, at least he gets to catch up on his sleep...mom however taught 3 women's clinics this morning. Its a good thing it was the women's clinics...they all understand just by looking at my very tired eyes.
