2 years ago I was sitting at my kitchen table reading the directions on the Chantix Box trying to figure out just how it was going to help me quit smoking. I was worried about how I was going to do it, and I was really worried about how much weight I was going to gain. I betcha I couldn't have walked a 1/2 mile without running out of breath.
Yesterday, I awoke at 3:45 AM and I ran 8 miles around Black Diamond. I am training to run a Marathon - I weigh much less than I did the day I quit smoking - I am healthier, happier, more independent and stronger than ever. I know who I am, I know what I want and I'm pretty sure I know how to get it. Life is Good.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oddly enough, I had a smoking dream last night for the first time in I don't know how long... disGUSTing... I ran 3 miles the other day too... but not at 3:45 in the morning! Life is so much better without cigarettes isn't it!
